February. I hope everyone came through the last cold snap unscathed. As I was cocooning at home with a blanket and a cup of coffee, I flipped through seed catalogues! It must be my coping-with-winter mechanism, it makes me happy to think of the possibilities. This year I have a new yard to garden. No more acreage, but I do have a 50’ x 55’ blank backyard to design. This will easily get me through the rest of the winter!

The Annual General Meeting of Neebing Fire/Rescue Association is scheduled for Monday, February 10 at 7:00pm at the Neebing Municipal Office or you can connect through Microsoft Teams.
Once you become a member you will be notified how to join the meeting. In order to participate in voting and elections, you need to be a member.

General Membership is defined as:
- Persons having an interest in supporting the Association.
- Elects the board of directors and approves the annual reporting of financials at the annual general meeting.
- Non-Elected members may serve on sub-committees.
- An annual membership fee determined yearly by the present board.
Membership is only $5.00. The membership fee must be paid by February 10 at 12:00pm electronically or by cash at the meeting.
This fee can be paid by:
- Etransfer to Neebing Fire Rescue – nfraevents@gmail.com .
- Cheque made payable to “Neebing Fire/Rescue Association” and mailed to 4766 Hwy 61, Neebing, ON P7L 0B5 or given to a current member.
- Cash or cheque left at the Municipal office in a marked envelope or given to a current member.

Have you met our winner of NFRA’s 8th Online 50/50 Raffle? Say hello to Joshua Sereda! Joshua was not only the lucky winner of the $500 Early Bird prize in December, but another ticket of his was drawn for the grand prize of $4810!
Kris, Joy and Clara (photographer) caught up to Joshua in January to present his cheque. He shared that he is recently out of the military and was very happy for the win. We thank him for his service, and Congratulations!
A NEW YEAR, A NEW RAFFLE!

We began this new set of raffles in early January. The total pot at this writing is $1420 and growing quickly. How high will it be by the end of March? Do you have your tickets yet? Don’t wait, we could be calling you!
Someone else we caught up with was Colin Chashcuk!
In December, at the beginning of a Municipal Council meeting we were happy to present a thank you plaque to Colin Chaschuk for years of firewood donations.
NFRA raised $13,327 in 2024 from our Wood Raffle! Chaschuk Enterprises has donated firewood in 2015, 2016, 2017 and again in 2022, 2023, & 2024. Including this year’s amount the total raised from Chaschuk’s donations, to support Neebing Emergency Services, is OVER $80,000!!! Incredible. Thank you.
Thank you all, once again, for supporting our Association throughout the year. All we’ve accomplished is because of you. We couldn’t appreciate you more.
Join us in 2025 as we plan more community events and projects to support our hardworking Neebing Emergency Services.
